Bubbles, Balls & Balloons

Get ready for endless fun with bubbles, balls, and balloons! These playful activities spark joy, laughter, and movement. From chasing shimmering bubbles, rolling, throwing and bouncing balls, to watching balloons float and fly, children will explore coordination, teamwork,  imagination and get creative whilst staying active.

This week we had our very first enrichment session all about bubbles, balls, and balloons! Each week, we’ll be taking part in a variety of fun activities linked to these favourite sensory items.

We began with a bucket time session where everyone enjoyed watching the bubble machine, the noisy bumble ball, and the balloons as they were pumped up and zoomed around the classroom. There was some fantastic eye contact and lots of happy vocalising as the children watched with excitement.

After that, we explored the soapy bubble suds in the tuff tray, made the balls roll down ramps, and created a beautiful shared painting by dipping balloons in paint and printing them onto paper.

The children did an amazing job during their first session, showing wonderful attention, engagement, and even some lovely shared play with new friends. We’re really looking forward to more sensory fun in the weeks ahead!
